The multi billion pound worldwide diet industry proves that diets simply don’t work. You may even have had the experience yourself of trying a wonderful new programme and losing weight, but it was only temporary - slowly and surely the weight crept back on again, creating a toxic circle where low self esteem, emotional eating and negative thinking patterns create more of the very thing you wish to shift – the weight.
Hypnotherapy works where diets don’t because of the mind’s ability to re-programme itself - changing your eating habits and making you more aware of what, when and how you eat. Instead of snacking endlessly or habitually eating when you are not hungry, you will find that you will question yourself and your thinking every time you buy that chocolate bar or tempting cake, or open that next bag of crisps.
Katy will work with you to help you realise why you have gained the weight in the first place, what it is that drives the compulsion for you to eat when you are just not hungry, and identify your fears (often unconscious) which cause you to ‘hold onto’ your weight. Compulsive overeating and beating yourself up emotionally generally go hand in hand and are often so habitual as to carry on without your awareness. Recognising your own relationship to food, your body, and your life together with strategies for weight loss and a hypnotic re-programming, will make those long lasting changes you so wish to see.
